![]() Simon heads Ogier's BVI law in Europe team from the firm's Jersey office – his practice covers investment funds, cross border and multi-jurisdictional mergers & acquisitions, corporate finance, and equity capital markets. Simon has over 25 years’ experience as a corporate and finance lawyer, practising BVI law from Ogier’s Jersey office. Before relocating to Jersey in 2015, he spent 11 years in the BVI where he served as Chairman of the BVI Investment Funds Association and of the Securities, Investment Business and Mutual Funds Advisory Committee, advising on legislative and regulatory developments. He specialises in investment fund formation and structures across hedge, private equity, real estate, and digital assets, as well as multi-jurisdictional M&A, corporate finance, SPAC listings, and joint ventures. His clients include international corporates, investment managers, banks, and UHNWIs. Simon is also recognised as a leading BVI regulatory lawyer, advising European trust companies and financial services providers on applications to the BVI Financial Services Commission and on economic substance matters. In addition, Simon is part of Ogier’s Private Equity and Restructuring & Insolvency teams, with expertise spanning fund structuring, acquisitions, IPO exits, refinancing, and distressed funds. He began his career at Lovells (now Hogan Lovells) in London and holds a BSc in Economics and Politics from the University of Southampton, followed by legal training at the College of Law, London. |

![]() Robin is a corporate lawyer who worked for a Magic Circle firm before joining Ogier's Jersey team. He previously worked in the London and Moscow offices of Linklaters, and spent time on secondment to a leading Swiss pharmaceutical manufacturer. He qualified as a Solicitor of England and Wales in 2015 at K&L Gates in London. Robin graduated from the University of Oxford before completing the GDL and LPC at The College of Law in London. Following this, he completed a Master’s degree in Law and Economics from the University of Hamburg. He speaks German and Russian.
