2026 Non-Executive Directors Series

Description

The 2026 Non-Executive Directors Series is a practical, regulator-focused programme designed to help NEDs strengthen board oversight, ask sharper questions, and stay ahead of evolving expectations across international finance centres. Through eight targeted sessions, participants explore what regulators really expect from NEDs, how individual accountability regimes apply in practice, and what recent enforcement actions reveal about common governance failures.

The series also covers the board’s critical responsibilities in AML, CFT and sanctions oversight, managing independence, conflicts and overboarding risk, and how to effectively test governance, risk and compliance frameworks beyond what’s presented in board packs. It further addresses today’s key board-level exposures—operational resilience, cyber risk and outsourcing liability—and the increasing scrutiny on ESG, greenwashing and culture oversight.

Overall, the series equips NEDs with a clearer understanding of regulatory expectations and the confidence to provide effective challenge, protect the organisation, and reduce personal risk.

The series is delivered live online via Microsoft TEAMS and recorded where possible. Each webinar provides 1-hour of CPD.

Suitable For

This series is suitable for new and experienced Non-Executive Directors, independent directors, board and committee members (including Chairs and Audit/Risk/Compliance committee members), and senior leaders preparing for NED appointments in regulated financial services.
