Mark Persoff is a Partner in EY's International Tax and Transaction Services team, joining in November 2011. Before that, Mark was a UK tax partner at the magic circle law firm Clifford Chance.

Mark has been advising on UK, European and international tax issues for 24 years (with 15 years of partner experience). Mark has been ranked as a leading tax adviser in the UK section of the Guide to the World’s Leading Tax Advisers, as well as ranked in Chambers & Partners and commended in the UK Legal 500.

Mark advises large multinational clients, with special focus on the banking, asset management and oil & gas sectors – with expertise in M&A, re-structuring, financing, and tax controversy and tax policy.

Mark heads up EY’s European financial services tax policy team.


Fehzaan Ismail

Director at EY

Helen Hatton 

Fehzaan Ismail is a Director in EY's International Tax and Transaction Services team and advises clients in the Financial Services sectors. His specialist areas include chargeable gains (including reorganisations), loan relationships, foreign PEs, hybrids and other mismatches and the taxation of intangible assets. Fehzaan has also been heavily involved in the delivery and thought leadership on the tax issues arising on Brexit restructuring transactions and assessing the regional footprint of FS organisations in light of tax and regulatory parameters and developments.

Fehzaan has worked in Tax at EY for over 11 years predominantly in the London office, but with overseas secondments to the New York and Dublin offices and a client secondment at a large investment bank. He is also the co-author of Taxation of Company Reorganisations (Bloomsbury Professional, 6th Edition).
