This half-day conference provides a comprehensive and practical update on Jersey’s evolving KYC landscape, equipping financial services professionals with the tools needed to meet regulatory expectations in 2025. Chris Usher 

Chris is the Managing Director at the School of International Financial Services (SIFS), a leading provider of training and education in offshore financial services across 15 jurisdictions globally. He has over 25 years of experience in offshore financial services, having previously held senior wealth management roles at Barclays Wealth and Santander, where he advised private clients and corporates on complex global investment solutions and wealth structuring. Chris is currently also a Director at Cavenwell Group. With a deep understanding of geopolitical and economic dynamics, Chris helps clients navigate the changing international wealth structuring landscape and optimise tax efficiency. Chris has trained over 6,000 people in qualifications for the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments (CISI) in wealth management and is a well-regarded member of the Institute. He also serves on the committee of the Channel Islands Wealth Managers Association and is a member of the Institute of Directors.


Jeremy Swetenham

Jeremy Swetenham 

As Director, Sales and Channel Partnerships, Jeremy manages enterprise and partner relationships for RiskScreen.

Jeremy obtained a BEng Hons in Electronic Engineering from Edinburgh, served in the British Army (becoming Chief Technical Training Officer for the Royal Armoured Corps) and has specialised in enterprise services for scale-up telecommunications and technology service providers. 

Jeremy has deep technical expertise and a thorough understanding of risk management through the application of people, processes, and technology. He has a wide array of experience in both commercial and cultural enterprises. He works with organisations to efficiently and effectively demonstrate that they have carried out the appropriate checks and helps them to achieve optimal financial crime compliance performance with maximum efficiency.


Andy Dobber

Head of Financial Crime Compliance at Santander International

Andy Dobber 

Andy is part of the senior management team and Head of Financial Crime Compliance (MLRO/MLCO) for Santander International which operates branches in the UK, Jersey and the Isle of Man.

Andy has worked in offshore finance for nearly 40 years during which time he has worked in both local and international law firms and trust companies in a variety of assurance, compliance and financial crime roles together with working as a regulator with the Jersey Financial Services Commission.

Andy is a Fellow of International Compliance Association, a Chartered member of the Chartered Securities & Investment Institute, an Associate member of the Chartered Management Institute and a full STEP member by examination and previous secretary of the STEP Jersey Branch as well as being a previous Treasurer of the JCOA.  Andy sits on a numerous industry/government working groups and helped to establish was a previous chair and remains a member of the Jersey Bankers Association Financial Crime & Conduct Committee.

Outside of work Andy is a keen cyclist and has undertaken several significant charity rides recently including riding a thousand miles from Land’s End to John O’Groats and across the Pyrenees to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support Jersey.


Sian Langley

Sian Langley 

Sian is a partner in Walkers' Regulatory practice in Jersey, specialising in financial services regulation matters.

Sian has experience of working within a national regulator as a senior lawyer, as a knowledge lawyer focused on onshore financial services regulation, and as a Barrister in private practice, as well as working offshore.

She advises on matters relating to AML/CFT obligations, fintech and payments, consumer credit regulation, prudential regulation, and general corporate compliance and governance.

She also advises businesses in Jersey and onshore about their obligations under Jersey's regulatory regime and assists clients with regulatory investigations.

Sian has many years of experience in advising on EU law relating to financial products and services.
