Recent changes to the Trusts (Jersey) Law 1984: What trustees and advisers should know
Description
Recent amendments to the Trusts (Jersey) Law 1984 reflect Jersey’s continued commitment to maintaining a modern, flexible and internationally competitive trusts regime. The changes have important implications for trustees, protectors and professional advisers, particularly in areas such as decision-making powers, information rights, mistake applications and the administration of complex trust structures. As regulatory and cross-border scrutiny increases, it is essential that fiduciaries understand how these developments affect their duties, risk exposure and governance frameworks. This session will provide a practical overview of the key updates and explore what trustees and advisers should consider when administering Jersey trusts in 2026 and beyond.
This webinar provides one-hour of CPD and offers insights and updates from a leading industry-expert speaker.
