Sarah Stenton 

Sarah is an expert in resolving HMRC tax disputes and investigations.

Sarah has over 20 years’ experience in the field and joined Blick Rothenberg in 2024 having previously worked in well-recognised tax dispute teams in large accountancy and law firms. Sarah latterly worked in HMRC’s Fraud Investigation Service (‘Offshore Corporate & Wealthy’ division) and therefore has a unique insight into current HMRC practice and process, particularly in relation to Code of Practice 9 (CoP9) investigations involving offshore matters and intelligence gathering.

She acts for both high-net-worth individuals and corporate clients across many sectors on a range of HMRC disputes and investigations across the full spectrum of UK taxes. In addition to resolving HMRC instigated tax investigations, Sarah is experienced in helping clients who need to make voluntary disclosures to HMRC, whether involving tax avoidance or fraud. Sarah is also experienced in assisting with ‘parallel’ HMRC investigations where both civil and criminal investigations are being pursued.

Sarah is a Chartered Tax Adviser.
