Ross specialises in commercially led cross-border corporate structuring and financing. He advises on the optimisation of capital structures and value chains, as well as the structuring of mergers, acquisitions and divestments. Ross has a particular interest in the taxation of intellectual property, and the on-going impact of disruptive trends in the macro-economic environment on business models and tax strategies. He has supported his clients in designing and implementing new operating models to mitigate emerging business risk and maximise new opportunities in a rapidly evolving international tax environment. Ross has deep experience supporting clients in engaging with tax authorities to obtain advance certainty where available and mitigate the risk of future controversy, as well as resolving historic controversy situations. Ross is part of BDO’s International Tax Global Centre of Excellence, and leads on matters pertaining to OECD Developments and local country responses, including Pillars 1 and 2. |
