Stephen Alexander 

Stephen is a Partner, Advocate, and the Practice Leader of the Jersey Litigation practice at Mourant. He regularly advises on a broad range of multi-jurisdictional commercial disputes, with particular expertise in contentious private wealth and trust matters, partnership and investment fund disputes, and corporate liquidations and reorganisations. Stephen is qualified in England & Wales, the Cayman Islands, and Jersey.

As Practice Leader for Litigation, Stephen leads the team across all aspects of management, business development, training, profile raising, and strategic growth.

He is an active member of Jersey’s business community. A qualified Chartered Director (C.Dir.) and Trusts and Estate Practitioner (TEP), Stephen serves as Chair of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) in Jersey. He also sits on the Legal and Regulatory Committee of the Association of Restructuring and Insolvency Experts (ARIES), the STEP Main Committee and Technical Sub-Committee. Additionally, he is a standing member of the Law Society of Jersey Committee, the regulatory body for Jersey’s legal profession.

Stephen delivers regular training to the Jersey financial services sector and to onshore firms. He also represents the Channel Islands as Country Co-Ordinator for INSOL Europe.

A strong advocate for workplace equality and inclusion, Stephen is the Local Office Sponsor of Mourant’s employee-led Inclusion Network.
