Senior Staff AML/CFT Mandatory Training (Isle of Man-specific)
Description
This senior-level training provides directors and senior managers in the Isle of Man with an in-depth understanding of their governance and oversight responsibilities in preventing financial crime. The session explores the legislative and regulatory framework, the importance of positive engagement with regulators, and strategies for effective risk management through Business Risk Assessments (BRA). Participants will examine oversight of high-risk areas, the evaluation of the MLRO function, and effective board reporting, escalation, and accountability practices. Hot topics, red flags, and emerging regulatory trends will be discussed, alongside director-specific case studies and lessons from recent public statements. The training also emphasises the importance of fostering a compliance-first culture at the top, equipping senior leaders to set the tone, strengthen frameworks, and ensure robust governance across their organisations.
